On August 7, Kyiv Appellate Administrative Court publicized the court decision, which corroborated the illegitimacy of “consumer basket” in Ukraine, Manager of Open Court Project Stanislav Batrin, who was the claimant in the case, informed, ZN.UA reports.
According to him, on 10 July 2018, the Kyiv Appellate Administrative Court, which considered the issue of illegitimacy of formation and approval of the consumer basket in Ukraine.
It is noted that by the said decision, the court of appellate instance denied satisfying the appellate complaints of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Economy about the ruling of Kyiv District Administrative Court dated 25 April 2018.
It should be reminded that the Kyiv District Administrative Court satisfied Batrin’s claim against the government of Ukraine, the Ministry of Healthcare, the Ministry of Social Policy and Ministry of Economy on declaring illegal and invalid the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №780, which revised the “consumer basket” for Ukrainian for the first time for 16 last years.
In 2015, the Cabinet of Ministers lost two court cases on the necessity of revising the living standards and keeping “consumer basket” as per Batrin’s claim.
